How to make gateau au chocolat (vegan French chocolate cake using cold brew coffee). This is a very simple and tasty vegan cake to make. The coffee gives the cake a richer flavor. In the video, I pushed the boundary and used more apple sauce and cold brew coffee than the listed recipe (batter is more wet than you typically see). The cake still turned out great. Also, did you notice there was no almond milk in the bowl when I reached for the oil? This is part of the magic with filming and editing ;). Hope you enjoy it!

200g pastry flour
150g cane sugar
40g cacao powder
160g plain unsweetened almond milk
120g plain no sugar added apple sauce
80g canola oil
80g cold brew coffee (other strong coffee or more almond milk instead)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
Mix dry ingredients. Add and mix wet ingredients. Bake 40-45mins at 350F (time and temp. varies).
8-inch push-pan used.
